GRIGORE T. POPA UNIVERSITY

Established in 1879 by the distinguished neuro-endocrinologist Grigore T. Popa, this university stands as one of Romania's oldest educational institutions. The medicine program spans 6 years and is taught in English. The first three years focus on basic studies, covering theory, research, and lab work. In the final year, students write a dissertation and take a state graduation exam, consisting of written, oral, and clinical components. Upon completion, students receive a Master's Degree and the title of Physician (MD), recognized internationally. Graduates can practice in Romania, other EU countries, or elsewhere globally.
